The Michael Wallace Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2001. Since that time, the Scholarship Fund has awarded grants to young men and women from all walks of life and from all across the United States.

Our mission is to provide financial assistance to deserving students who have a passion for aviation. We believe that the discipline and character a young person learns through flight training will benefit them throughout their lifetime, no matter what career path they choose, or what endeavors they undertake.

Beginning January, 2023, the Scholarship Fund will redirect its efforts to other avenues for flight training. We will no longer offer direct grants exclusively for glider flight training. The Michael Wallace Memorial Scholarship Fund will continue to help young students to begin or further their training in aviation by assisting other non-profit organizations with their efforts to provide flight training in both gliders and airplanes.

We would like to thank all of the flight school owners and club presidents, administrators, and flight instructors for supporting our cause over the past 21 years, and thereby helping their young students to soar.

The Michael Wallace Memorial Scholarship Fund is incorporated in the state of California as a non-profit organization, and it is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 Public Charity.
